Timeline
The 90 days before she stopped messaging me, then a brief note on the months since. This is reconstructed from her Calendar (I have access), her Venmo (mom is the joint backup), her texts to me, her texts to our mom, her best friend Priya, and her own posts. Anything italicized is from her texts to me.
The 90 days before — August 4 to November 4, 2025
-
Aug 4, 2025First call with her management about a “Q4 production push” — they want her on a weekly schedule instead of bi-weekly. “they’re basically saying i can double my income if i let them schedule. idk feels fast.”
-
Aug 11Posts at 2:00 PM (her usual). Q&A vlog #14 — “books I read this summer.” 1.8K likes. Comments are normal.
-
Aug 22Equipment purchase: Sony FX3, $4,200, on her business card. “the agency says they’ll reimburse, lmao i’ll believe it when i see it.”
-
Sept 1Two-day session at the agency’s studio that she described as “onboarding for some new internal stuff.” Five hours of footage. “weirdest two days. they had me do like 200 different facial expressions and like 50 walks across the room. im exhausted.”
-
Sept 18A six-photo set she did not remember shooting goes up on her page. “el this is wild they posted a set this morning that i swear i didn’t shoot. but its def me?? maybe i forgot. im so tired.”
-
Oct 3She mentions another “forgotten” set to me, briefly. She doesn’t push it. I don’t either.
-
Oct 12Books a flight to NYC for Oct 28 (sponsored fashion-week shoot).
-
Oct 18Last in-person photo of her with anyone outside her management — coffee with Priya at Cosmic on Sterzing. Priya says she seemed “tired, off, talked fast about ‘the back office.’ I thought she just needed a vacation.”
-
Oct 22Posts a Halloween-prep BTS reel at 3:00 PM exact. This is the last post the subscribers all agree feels like her.
-
Oct 28She does not get on the NYC flight. The fashion-week brand later confirms the shoot had been rescheduled by her management a week prior. The brand assumed Lacey had cancelled.
-
Oct 29She texts me. “el i think theres stuff getting posted on my page that i didnt shoot. like i know what i shot this month. i need to talk to the agency about it monday. dont tell mom.” I tell her she sounds tired. I do not push.
-
Oct 30, 11:51 PMShe texts Priya. The text is short, and Priya didn’t see it til the next morning. (Priya forwarded it to me in February. It’s on the subscribers page.)
-
Nov 2Long unanswered call from her to her ops manager (Marcus Reeve at Cherry Locke) at 4:14 PM. 47 minutes. No notes after.
-
Nov 3, 2025 — 8:14 PMHer last iMessage to me, ever: “mtg with the agency tmrw morning. i think im gonna be done w them. love u el call u after.”
-
Nov 4, 2025 — 11:00 AMPosts the vlog “new chapter, going dark for a minute.” She says she’s “going off-grid for a wellness reset” at a “place the agency is putting me up.” She does not say where. I do not get a call after.
The 188 days since
-
Nov 4 — 5:00 PMCherry Locke ops manager Marcus Reeve answers our mom’s call. Says Lacey is at their wellness facility in Las Vegas, no phone, “normal at her income level.” Refuses to share an address.
-
Nov 7A new “Lacey” post goes up. The cadence is different from her usual. Some subscribers notice in the comments.
-
Nov 11The “going dark” vlog is deleted from her page, replaced with a different thumbnail. Subscribers in the comments ask where it went.
-
Nov 23Cherry Locke emails APD a “proof of life” video timestamped Nov 23. Lacey, in a beige robe, in a wood-panelled room. Says she is fine, asks for privacy. APD shares it with the family. I have looked at it many, many times.
-
Dec 4 to Apr 3021 weekly posts. Most are photo sets, a few are short vlogs. Comments split into camps: subscribers who think she just sounds tired, subscribers who say something feels off, and a small group who keep typing “not her, not her, not her” on every post.
-
May 6, 2026Latest post. 180 days after she last spoke to a single human who knew her.
If you’re a subscriber
For three years Lacey was a metronome — every public post went up at exactly :00 or :30 minutes past the hour. She told me once on a long drive that she set herself that rule because “if you’re not on a metronome they think you’re a flake.” It was a hard rule for her.
After November 11, the cadence on her page changed. A few of you have flagged this in messages on the subscribers page. If you remember other things that feel off about the posts since then — language she would never use, a setting she didn’t shoot in, a Penny shot that feels staged — please use the search on the last-posts page or email me.
